Vincent was given a single still image of a teddy bear laying on the curb of an airport terminal as an opening frame, and asked to develop the first 2-3 min long chapter of a 7 chapter movie. ... Based on that still shot, videographers are then asked to contribute entries for the next chapter, resulting in an interesting experiment for a movie that has no fixed script, or known end. The project will go for several months, with lots of great Canon gear as prizes for each winning segment. ... You can see Vincent's first chapter as well as a "behind the scenes" clip of how it was made on his blog This is one of the best ideas for a photo/video contest that I have seen in a long time, and a great way to highlight talent and technology. Unlike the old Batman series that always asked you to "stay tuned" to the next episode, you really have no idea how this one will end. read more
